Why we keep just one pair

Most catteries breed several queens against a rotation of studs. PurrzenPaws Persians does the opposite. Luna and Flynn are the only Sire and Queen we own, and that is a deliberate choice, not a starting point we plan to grow out of.

Luna, our blue Persian queen, was born March 26, 2024, and carries the Chihalo lilac sire line on one side and the Dunn Kittens blue-silver classic tabby-white dam line on the other — both stacked with CFA Champion and Grand Champion ancestors going back four generations. Flynn, our red and white Persian sire, was born October 25, 2020, out of the GC Purfect Gift red tabby white line and the Purrden Me’s dilute calico high-white dam line.

We paired them once we’d studied both pedigrees closely enough to be confident in the colors, coats, and temperaments they’d likely produce together — everything from solid blue and cream-and-white to dilute calico and tortoiseshell patterns, depending on which genes land where. Their first litter, born in 2025, was a single blue and white female we named Singleton.

Keeping one pair means we know these two cats completely: their health histories, their personalities, how they behave with a litter underfoot.
